Camping & reservations
The booking button opens official instructions for Hunting Camps (14 sites). This site may use first-come camping or a district permit instead of online reservations. Read the current instructions before traveling.
Hunting Camps (14 sites) ↗
Fourteen designated primitive hunting camps are listed in Tuskegee National Forest. Obtain a camping permit from the Tuskegee Ranger District office. No potable water is listed. Use the district instructions for the correct permitted site.
Reservations: See current official instructions.
Truck-camping & permitted overnight use
Confirm with the district whether your chosen designated campsite accepts a truck camper or RV. Check pad length, turning space, approach surface and seasonal access; a trailhead or day-use lot is not an overnight campsite.
No forest-wide permission to camp is implied. Check the district’s current dispersed-camping rules, designated areas, fire restrictions, stay limits and seasonal closures before choosing an undeveloped site.
